Dear Parents and Carers
The pupils have been a real credit to us this week - and have come back from half-term with great energy and enthusiasm.
We hosted a visit of 20 trainee teachers from a variety of London schools on Wednesday. Our visitors were absolutely blown away by the consistency of practice they saw across the board – they said that they had never expected to see a school where joy permeated every interaction!
On Thursday we hosted over 200 guests at our Iftar. Thank you to those of you who joined - the pupils loved sharing their school with their parents and grandparents - leading to such a joyful family occasion and our opportunity to thank you for all the support that you have provided to the school over the last 5 years. If you didn't get a chance to come this year - please do come next year.
Thank you for all your support with uniform standards. We are committed to making sure that the school is free from make-up, informal shoes and trousers, skirts above the knee and clearly branded items to avoid pupils being subject to peer pressure when coming in to school each day.
Over this week we will be holding our annual survey of pupils, staff and parents. This allows us to identify the strengths of the school and were we need to improve. Pupils will be completing the survey during lessons. Please take the time to respond to the Parent Survey here https://questions.tep.uk/arksoane. The survey will take a maximum of 5 minutes to complete and will help us to improve provision - many thanks for taking the time.
Tomorrow is National Offers Day for Y6 to Y7 High School Offers. For those of you who are hoping to be allocated a place at Soane - we wish you the best of luck. We will be hosting Q+A session on Wednesday at 4.30 for those who are considering whether to accept their offer.
On Thursday of this week we have our final, in-person, Y11 Parents' Evening. School will finish for all pupils at 2.10pm. Parents' Evening will run from 3-7pm. We look forward to seeing you then,
I hope you enjoy the remainder of the weekend.
Regards,
Mr Neuberger
This Week's Highlights
Iftar
It was such a pleasure to welcome over 200 guests to our Iftar on Friday. Watching our students show off their school with pride to their siblings, parents, and grandparents was amazing, and we were so impressed with the passion with which all the students spoke to the governors, the Imam, and other families.
Year 7 and Year 9 Girls Football
The girls competed really well against Elthorne in both games, showing massive improvement throughout. Player of the Match was given to Rayah (Year 9) and Aya (Year 7) for their performances!

As part of this, schools have a statutory obligation to teach students relationships and sex education. This is to prepare students for relationships of all kinds in the modern world. As a school community, we are committed to working in partnership with parents and are required to consult on the curriculum.
We will be hosting a meeting in-school as part of this consultation from 17:00 – 17:30 on Monday 2nd March. If you would be interested in attending this meeting, please complete the MS Form here no later than Thursday 26th Feb, 7PM: https://forms.office.com/e/GtRDP6387i
