Dear Parents and Carers
I hope you enjoyed a restful break. We are very much looking forward to pupils' return.
Please note that tomorrow is a school INSET day and school is closed to all pupils (aside from new joiners). We look forward to seeing all pupils from 8.10 on Tuesday morning.
We have a very short half-term ahead: with a Bank Holiday on Monday 4th May and the end of term on Friday 22nd May there are only 28 school days before May half-term. We will be inviting all Y9 parents to a GCSE information evening on Thursday 30th April. More information will follow.
GCSE Exams start on Monday 11th May. End of year exams for Y7-10 will will take place from 16th-26th June and we will launch revision with the pupils before half-term. There are lots of exciting events to look forward to at the end of term including a Fete, a concert, a sports day and multiple trips. Please ensure that your child attains 100% attendance this term. School will finish for the summer holidays on Friday 17th July.
Please use the time before Tuesday to ensure that your child's school uniform is complete and clean - and that all items are in line with the school's uniform policy. Please also ensure that your child's homework is complete and that they are returning to the summer term with their bag and pencil case organised and a full set of equipment.
We look forward to seeing your child on Tuesday.
Kind regards,
Mr Neuberger
This Week's Highlights
Tutor Groups of the Term
The Tutor Groups of the Term (7 Pericles, 8 Pericles, 9 Cicero, 10 Pericles, and 11 Augustus) all enjoyed pizza over lunch this last week to celebrate their achievements. With their hard work and dedication, we are so proud of these students for what they've accomplished this past term. Well done!
Exploration Day
The students had a wonderful Exploration Day this past Thursday.
Year 7 was able to learn and experience tangible moments of discovery and achievement by visiting the British Museum and the Science Museum.
Year 8 explored the historic steps of those before them and the creative expression of artists from more recent times at the National History Museum and Tate Modern.
Year 9 was able to learn about the global roles Great Britain has played previously and the sacrifices of soldiers past as well as religious architecture and its function at the National Army Museum and St. Paul's Cathedral.
Year 10 explored the value of regeneration in London and the cultures of others at Stratford and the Liberal Jewish Synagogue.
Meanwhile, Year 11 was working hard, preparing for their GSCEs coming up in the next term.
Year 9 Girls Netball
The Year 9 Girls Netball team sadly lost against Ealing Fields, though they showed great determination and teamwork. Player of the Match was awarded to Chinoso and Widad!

Attendance
A reminder that all students must return to school on Tuesday 14th April. Students with strong attendance (97–100%) achieve significantly higher results in exams than those with lower attendance. All students have exams in the summer term, so it is essential that no learning time is missed except in cases of serious illness or other exceptional circumstances.
Year 11 maths exams - 15th/17th April
On their return after Easter, Year 11s will sit two additional maths exams to support their revision. These will take place on the afternoons of the 15th and 17th of April. Because of the length of the exams, this means that Year 11s will finish at 3:40pm on these days. Reflections will run as normal.
