Dear Parents and Carers
Our founding cohort will start their GCSEs with English Literature Paper 1 tomorrow. They are amongst the best prepared and hardest working groups of pupils in the country and we couldn't be prouder of them. Please bear with them, reassure them and support them through the next six weeks and be ready to celebrate with them when they graduate on 23rd June. For parents of Y11 - please ensure that your children arrive punctually for school as late arrival may prevent your child from achieving a GCSE grade.
There have been an increasing number of incidents in Acton Town Centre after school hours in recent days. These have involved pupils from multiple schools and have been pre-arranged on social media. Please ensure that your child returns home directly from school at the end of the day and ensure that they do not have access to unrestricted social media as - too often - minor disagreements online lead to major incidents in the real world. If you are aware of any threat to the safety of children please inform our safeguarding team urgently. I, or a member of the Leadership Team, are always available at the pupil gate at the start and end of the school day.
I wish you an enjoyable remainder of the weekend.
Mr Neuberger

Year 11 Digital Detox
With the summer examinations fast approaching, we will be encouraging students to try a “digital detox.” Our Year 11 students have found that reducing phone use to give their brains a break, even giving it up for one night a week, has had a positive impact on their focus and mental health.
We would really appreciate your continued support by monitoring your child’s phone use, talking with them about leaving their phone in the school safe, and encouraging alternatives such as using a brick phone where appropriate.
Uniform Donations
The Soane Parents Association are collecting donations of good quality second hand school uniform sale on the 19th July. We are collecting the following items:
- Trousers and skirts
- PE kits
- Jumpers, skirts, blazers and ties
- Backpacks and PE bags
If you are a parent, donations will be collected at the school reception. Students can hand in donations at the pupil entrance (alongside lost property).
Thank you for helping our school community!
