Thanks to their hard work, your support and the effort of their teachers they come out of every exam with their heads held high and ready to give 100% effort to their upcoming exams. From this Wednesday they will have shorter school days - and will finish school at 12.20 - please ensure that they use their afternoons for revision at home.

End of Year exams
As we approach the end of the academic year, students are now beginning to prepare for their end of year exams. This is an important moment for students, as it gives them a chance to demonstrate the progress they have made across the year, and to practice good exam revision habits. Form tutors will be supporting your child with revising, helping them to complete a revision timetable. They will be expected to bring their revision work into school each day to show their tutor.
Each year group will complete their exams between the following dates:
Year 7- between Friday 12th and Friday 19th June
Year 8 - between Thursday 11th and Thursday 18th June
Year 9 - between Friday 12th and Friday 19th June
Year 10 - between Thursday 18th and Friday 26th June
You can support your child by checking that they have completed their revision timetable each night, and by reminding them of the importance of revision to their academic success. The content that will be assessed is shown below:

Summer Fete - Thursday 2nd July, 2PM-4PM
On Thursday 2nd July we will be hosting our third Summer Fete. This is a wonderful celebration for our community, with stalls, food, music, and activities. We will be fundraising for Ealing Foodbank at the event. The event will run from 2PM-4PM - students will be dismissed at 2PM that day.
We have a small number of slots available for food stalls – if you would like to run a table, please let us know by completing this MS Form: Soane Summer Fete - food stalls – Fill in form. Please be aware there will be no access to electricity at the stalls.
We will be in touch if we are able to host your stall. Please note that we may not be able to take all offers to run a stall, for example if there are multiple offers for a similar stall.
Orwell Society Visit
We are delighted to have our rescheduled our first ever visit from the Orwell Society Wednesday, June 10th during the Year 8 Assembly. The Orwell society is a renowned organization that brings George Orwell's work alive to people across the world through talks, trips and school engagement. We are so lucky to have Mr. Dear join us as a distinguished member of the Orwell Society, who has study journalism and writing himself in addition to his scholarly work on Orwell.
Uniform Donations
The Soane Parents Association are collecting donations of good quality second hand school uniform sale on the 19th July. We are collecting the following items:
- Trousers and skirts
- PE kits
- Jumpers, skirts, blazers and ties
- Backpacks and PE bags
If you are a parent, donations will be collected at the school reception. Students can hand in donations at the pupil entrance (alongside lost property).
Thank you for helping our school community!
